My father was diagnosed with esophageal cancer and went through surgeries and chemo therapy all last year. He drank several beers every day and hard alcohol often. He had to eat out of a tube for almost 8 months and now his stomach is so small, he can never eat or drink the same. He's doing fine now, though I think the medical treatment caused many more problems. Life has totally changed for him and he is very depressed because he can't do the things he used to do. Think twice before wanting to walk down that road. Drink in moderation so you can enjoy the last years of your life with good health.
